WHY DO EW DO WHAT EW DO?
Q. Why does EW sell from causes/organizations locations?
A. As EW want to expose, educate, and elevate what such organizations are doing. You will be able to see exactly what organizations are doing in order for change for the better within our communities. We don’t just want to state it on the website, we also want people to have the opportunity to observe it as well even if briefly.
Q. Why is it that some EW tee or poster designs presented doesn’t have a cause to support?
A. As EW are still looking for the ‘right’ cause to support in relation to the design. EW already has the type of causes in mind prior to the creation of ‘every’ design produced. Consequently EW wants each specific design to signify and reflect upon such a cause so that it is made aware what positive work is being done by such causes within our communities. This is why it is so important for EW to find the right cause to a specific design that represents what it is about.
As a result we are very analytical and selective with what tee and poster designs we want causes affiliated to, as it is ultimately about making aware a specific issue through an EW tee or poster design, with which when the right cause is found it can assist with educating and elevating matters that the design exposes (and consequently maximizing the potential with what can be delivered through an EW tee or poster). Nonetheless every tee and poster sold (displayed at ‘STORE’ or at specified locations stated) with no present cause will inevitably have a cause, and with which the funds will be set aside and provided for the cause when that right cause is found ‘OR’ be used to further support an existing cause.
Q. Why does EW sell in limited quantities?
A. As so much effort, passion, and care comes with the creation of ‘every’ individual EW tee and poster, we therefore warranted it to primarily be provided for those that know what we are about and what we are striving for, thus hopefully wearing an EW tee or putting up an EW poster knowing what message lies behind it and acknowledging what role they have played with the purchase of the tee or poster. As such being an EW advocate. We will ‘always’ strive to provide in limited and set quantities with ‘each’ and ‘every’ individual design as we value the tee and poster very special, so we want those who wear the tee or displays a poster to feel just as special as the tee and poster itself.
Q. But if you sell in limited quantities then you’re restricting the potential of funds for causes, right?!
A. To an extent one could agree, but EW is not ‘primarily’ in it to raise funds for a cause. EW more importantly want people to become aware of the issues present, by exposing, educating, and elevating through an EW tee and poster. Ultimately much more can be done by this then to be providing more funds for a cause. Yes funds will assist a cause, but what’s just as essential, if not more, is becoming conscious to the matter and using such knowledge to aid yourself and/or others in need. This is why we do not produce in mass quantities as the message could easily be lost (in addition to the previous answer provided), and why every tee and poster made should be seen as a collectable item as only a set amount will be produced.
Q. Does EW intend to operate within retail stores?
A. We do and will eventually but only with the ‘right’ stores, meaning those who are willing to ‘value’ what EW brings and reflects our vibe. EW does not just want to be another lost or misplaced tee within the crowd of other known and unknown brands in a mainstream department store, nor in a sea of other tees hidden deep and crumpled in a bunch, just there to make up the numbers, or be another poster inbetween an array of many others that don’t reflect EW’s philosophy. We want our tees and posters to be valued as much as we value them, thus expect certain standards with how we are represented. If you know of a retail store that can provide this, or you yourself are the retail store, then please feel free to hit the ‘CONTACT EW’ tab and holla at EW.
Q. How does EW recruit artists?
A. Check the ‘EW WHY YOU? – AS AN ARTIST…’ section for information on this matter and all will be answered.
Q. How does EW select a cause to support?
A. Either by a) researching ourselves into the causes that we admire, b) by referrals, or c) by the requests submitted by causes themselves. Check the ‘EW WHY YOU? – AS AN ORGANIZATION…’ section if you are an organization of interest or just go to the link below;
Q. How does EW select organizations to affiliate with?
A. We want organizations that are as passionate as we are with what EW symbolize, so if you are an organization that see a design that you can relate to then see the following link to see what EW can do for you. You see?
Q. Why are EW tees and posters priced at what they are?
A. We at EW amaze ourselves and ask the same thing, how do we deliver such a quality tee and poster at such a low price?! Well that’s because we are providing an end product tee and poster that is receiving relatively little profit back to EW and sacrificing this with obtaining quality garments, quality designs, and quality printers (all of which is done in the USA), in addition to providing a substantial amount to a cause that the tee or poster is funding towards. We assure you that you are getting your money’s worth plus much more with an EW tee and poster. Don’t be mistaken by thinking that because you pay more for a tee or poster that it is somehow more superior, far from it!
Q. Does EW intend to provide other accessories other than tees and posters?
A. Eventually, but our main purpose is to provide a quality tee or poster with a design to match, that exposes a specific issue, thus tees and posters are used as a main portal to get the message across, our bread and butter as such. If or when we do introduce other accessories, it will either be a product of top quality and different to what’s already on offer (with what’s already out there) that fits with the EW style, or be in collaboration with a manufacturer and/or brand that already provide and excel and share the same morals and values as EW, with us providing the EW twist on it.
Q. How does EW keep it so real?
A. As we always have the ‘EW MISSION STATEMENT’ in mind and have a burning need to expose, educate, and elevate in what we do.
